Our yearly charity event supporting the purchase of crucial equipment for health care in our community.
Great golf for a great cause, attracting 200+ corporate executives, business owners, cottagers, residents, donors and volunteers. Since its inception, the tournament has netted over one million dollars for the hospital and health care facilities in Haliburton County.
Matt Duchene Charity Golf Classic 2025
The 2025 Matt Duchene Charity Golf Classic, held on July 18th, 2025 at Blairhampton Golf Club, was an outstanding success.
The impressive generosity of the community resulted in over $234,000 being raised to benefit the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation. This achievement underscores the commitment of our sponsors and volunteers, whose combined efforts were essential to the event’s execution. Thanks to Blairhampton G.C. and staff for a seamless golf day. The enthusiastic engagement of golfers and guests fostered a dynamic atmosphere, further enhanced by MC Rick Lowes and the expert auctioneering of Keith Moore. Special recognition is extended to the Duchene family for their steadfast dedication, which remains central to the ongoing success of this notable annual event. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to the 2025 MDCGC, with particular appreciation for organizing committee members Troy Austen, Vince Duchene, and Susannah Moylan for their invaluable time and expertise.
